Ushering in Ushers

Father Dan would like to usher in ushers! First impressions are important. A friendly hello and welcome by an usher can make a difference to those attending SLG for the first time. Also, to call one by their name is huge! To that end, we will have nametag months in August, November, February and May. 

St. Leo the Great (SLG) is vulnerable without them. From a safety standpoint, if someone takes ill in the congregation, ushers are the first line of defense with cold water, something sweet to drink, cold wet towels, a first aid kit, AED, CPR, and Stop the Bleed.

Ushers also provide parishioners with the opportunity to make a gift, to SLG, but second collections as well. There are a number of second collections required by the Diocese of Trenton. The current collection method does not allow parishioners to designate how much they would like to contribute to a second collection.

All interested men and women, boys and girls interested in being an usher are asked to signup below or the roster in the foyer of the Church. 

Once enough have signed up, Father Dan will call a meeting.
